Why a proper suit is your ultimate power tool
THE SUIT
Gentlemen, Lauren here. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about suiting. You’re probably like, well yah, of course you have, you make them… but let me explain. Suits, and suit trends have evolved over the years - we’ve seen some trendy collections from Thome Browne, with short cut jackets and pants, and unusual slouchy fits. We’ve seen Tom Ford make a huge name for himself with his classical tailoring, and beautifully elegant suits with those unmistakably large lapels. We’ve seen oversized suits TRY to make a comeback. We’ve seen/are still seeing cropped pants, bold prints and coloured stitching. The one thing we haven’t seen.. is perfectly tailored suits going out of style.
Hear me out, it isn’t that I don’t want my clients to look trendy (well maybe it is a little of that), but more so, I don’t want my clients to spend their hard earned dollars on a suit that is going to far outlast any trend. Trends are fleeting… following them will only leave you with a bunch of suits that are no longer relevant. My main goal is to ensure my clients look proper… that they look expensive and like they’re ready to take on the world. I want the suits we make to be worn for years, because they’re made to last that long.
Atelier suiting is different. It is classic. It is properly made, and hand-cut specifically to your exact body shape, proportions and style. When you have a suit that was made for your body, it not only feels different, but it looks different. You will turn heads. People will notice.
A properly tailored suit is your ultimate power tool. Wearing a custom fit, Italian or English wool suit to a big interview or meeting will help you seal the deal. Break it out for a wedding, you’re immediately one of the best dressed in the room. Pair that classic navy suit with a fresh coloured shirt and a bright tie, and BAM, you’re spring trending with the rest of em. Pair it with a white shirt and a subtle tie, and you’re landing that promotion. The power a nice, classic suit has is something only the bearer of the suit will understand, and something every gentleman deserves to experience.
